We’re heading due East in the Caribbean Sea towards Aruba, an island off the coast of Venezuela. Winds are high, seas are rough today, but it is mostly sunny. The outside promenade and top sun deck were closed during the morning due to the high winds. Its calmed enough in the afternoon to open them back up. So we sunbathed on our balcony in the morning, and after lunch I attempted to get my walking in. The upper deck was open, but was so windy, I only got 3 laps in there (1/2 mile). Walking into the wind on one side was like climbing a steep hill, and walking on the other side with the wind blowing behind was like being pushed downhill. The Promenade deck was a less windy, and I was able to complete my walk.
Tonight was our last of the premium restaurant dinners at the Pinnacle Grill. I had to order the Candied Bacon again for my appetizer (Day 6). Laura and I both ordered the Filet Mignon and Lobster tail, followed by Key Lime Pie. Everything was cooked to perfection and was delicious.
We squeezed in The Aruba Port talk during the afternoon, between the drinks, lounging on the balcony and other things. Our plan tomorrow is to go to the beach, get some local food for lunch and then a little shopping.
